Dinner is served.
What did I cook as dad's birthday?
Well...this was a three course meal.
APPETIZER.
- Button mushrooms (added melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley and some lemon juice into the hole of the mushrooms and then baked)
- Streaky Bacon Roll with Raisins (Raisins being rolled up in streaky bacon and pan-fried but I suggest deep frying to get better result, use toothpick to secure but remove it before serving)
- Romano Salad (Balsamic vinaigrette, came with the pack...and I added some honey tomatoes)
MAIN COURSE.
- Boiled Thai asparagus and carrot sticks (no time)
- Mashed sweet potato with corn kernels
- Roasted Lamb (marinated in Oyster Sauce, Cabernet Sauvignon, Olive Oil, Crushed Black Pepper and Sugar - thatz the marinade and I added some garlic and rosemary herbs)
- To be served with Redcurrent Sauce (Redcurrent Jelly (aka Jam) simmer with some Cabernet Sauvignon)
DESSERT.
- Forest Berries Yogurt with Fresh Chopped Raspberries & Blueberries (served in a short glass yogurt mixed with the chopped berries then add the Kellogg's Crispy Rice then add the yogurt mixed with chopped berries. Garnished with raspberries and blueberries. I suggest you do the dessert before serving as the Crispy Rice would become soggy OR you could use chopped up nuts OR marshmallows (that one was just an idea) OR rasins et cetera)
