Day 19 in MEL: Snap Snap!
After talking to Jar, I had my shower and headed out with sis. Went walking about looking for Queen Street just to take McCloud Shoes. Well...we walked a lot from one street to another and one street can be VERY long. Take Queen Street as an example or La Trobe Street or even Lygon Street. Anyway...Queen Street and King Street are sort of the CBD area in Melbourne.
Well...after that we tried to find a stop where the City Circle Tram (free ride) were but because of some reconstruction going on, thus we don't know where exactly is it. In the end, we hopped onto Tram 96 and headed back to the centre of the city. Actually that ride isn't free...got to pay but eh...no one really bothers hehehe
OK, so we walked all the way to Flinders Street where St Paul's Catherdral was, I got in and it was beautiful but dark and I couldn't use flash. URGH...well...snap snap here and there. Well...I snapped Federation Square too which was just across the road. Anyway, we walked all the way to the next catherdral which was St Patrick's Cathedral but on our way, I got to snapped, Hotel Windsor. Well anyway when we got to the cathedral, I got to have a look inside and it was very nice...not bad and it was located at Cathedral Place. Well...hearing it from sis...I guess Europe's cathedrals are much WOW.
Just a walk across the road, we got to the Parliament House and snapped some pics and then snapped the Princess Theatre. OK...and then we walked further to Melbourne Museum and on our way there, I snapped a fountain that is like for shower hehehe. Well, when we got there, I snapped some more pics of the fountain and such.
We headed back and then rested for a while. It was dinner time so we left the place about 5:30PM and walked to Chinatown. We ate at that Shanghai Restaurant again. Well...walked back and decided to head to Lygon Street for some Gelato. I had cone single which have TWO scoops so I had Mango and Strawberry flavours. Sis had Baileys and Green Tea. Each cost AUS$3.50 : )
Returned about 7 plus PM and then got online for a while to do some emailing and then watched a little TV. I did my story...only about two to three pages and thatz really slow and pathetic so I better get started on it again and fast.
WOW...am leaving this Friday. Just two more days here...anyway, thatz about it so...
Take care.
Veel plezier.
Christine.
