About the TWO days of this week...
TUESDAY, 3rd MAY 2005
Great, I'd totally forgot to talk about my Dad's birthday! YIKES! Well, I'm a very very bad daughter who had gotten nothing for her dad. Hmm...OK, whole day...was normal, online slacking and such. Parents went to get the cake, it was Blackforest Cake from Sweet Secrets. DELICIOUS!
OK, dinner was at Hua Ting Restaurant at Orchard Hotel. The six-course meal was pretty good. First was one fried scallop with one fried prawn; second was sharkfins in spinach sauce (got to put vinegar plus the colour was unique hehehe just like the pea soup I did once); third was fishy and it was good; fourth was ducky well...the leg of the duck cooked with black dates and some small xiao bai chai (itz a type of veg); fifth one was starch sheet (something like kuay teow) with crab meat and the sixth was dessert, steam egg with ginger (like custard but DUH have the taste of those two main ingredient). I clipped the food but didn't take pics coz of the flashes by cam. Annoying with it happened for every 6 dishes, if you get what I mean. The meal cost about SGD 300++ Well, parents didn't really find anything GREAT about and I do agree...Anyway, the ambience was good so end of story.
Returned home, check the mailbox and SURPRISE SURPRISE! Post from Tall Guy, and I opened in his presence and WOW WOW WEE...It was a red file containing all his stories (not exactly all because his erm, Nature's Pearl and Oracle's Time weren't there. Itz understandable as ink cost A LOT and paper too plus postage cost due to weight) but stories whereby you can find in his story site. Hmm...that package cost him 9.70 Euro to send to me.
FRIDAY, 6th MAY 2005
K, today the weather is good, it RAINED! Well, good thing it rained around 12 plus in the day as I was planning to leave at 3 PM but I left slightly earlier. Anyway, I didn't know the Postman rang the doorbell yesterday at 4:50PM (5th May) as it was raining heavily plus I was in me room. Went to the POST and collected me package, HA! Knew it was from him and recognised the handwriting but I didn't want to open. (It was from Tall Guy) I crossed the road and took bus 123 to IKEA. Oh my, went to IKEA looked around until I got to the QUILT COVER SET area. AHHHHHHHHH! I saw a really nice quilt cover set, reddish orange with white printed flower patterns and it cost SGD 65. Well, as you know me, I can NEVER decide whether to get it and it sucked shopping alone because there is no one to consult/get opinions. Anyway, I saw another quilt cover set and it was just simply PLAIN WHITE no patterns whatsoever and that cost SGD 79 (I think..not sure 75 or 79). See...now I have two in mind THEN I saw the reddish orange with white flower patterns with another version. It was royal blue instead of red! See...now I can't decide but I think I'll get red IF I am planning to get. See...three to decide but really I don't know whether to get.
Maybe if I go out with my parents, I'll get dad to get the reddish orange one...should I? You know very well how crazy I am over quilt cover sets hehehe. Anyway, my purpose was to get AAA batts and black photo frame for the Wyvern Sketch that I'm sending to Tall Guy as our 1st Year Meeting Anniversary. Hmm...returned home, I logged on and YAY! Tall Guy was on so I opened the package in his presence and AWW...there was the photocopied black and white crumpled paper of Utrecht (not so crumpy as good thing, he put it in plastic sheet) and AHHHH! Mini wooden clog shoes! So sweet and nice, really DUTCHY! I like it. Oh well, I have wrapped his present nicely and will send his stuff on Monday.
Thatz about it, I guess...until the next time.
TAKE CARE!
VEEL PLEZIER!
Christine.
