Day 1 in MEL: My flight

Hmm...I'M IN MELBOURNE NOW! Well, it doesn't feel like Melbourne though. The flight was OK...rather dull but I did talk to the people next to me. Qantas urghhh...SO cramp! Not bad there were games for us (passengers) to play and watch but I didn't use my headphones for the entire journey.

The flight food was OK, nothing special...nothing great not reallyt that good. Wow...Melbourne roads just makes me feel like I'm in SG. I don't know...I don't feel like I'm in OZ but I AM!

OK, our plan for today:
-Victoria Market
-Breakfast @ Victoria Market
-Return to rest
-Walk around town
-Safe Way to do grocery shopping

I arrived Melbourne airport about 5 plus in the morning (MEL time) which is like 3 plus in SG. I reached sis’ apartment at 6AM (4AM SG time).

Went to Victoria Market today with sis and she bought herself a hotdog. I didn’t have any appetite. I guess thatz an after-sickness flight. I remember when I went to Orlando, Florida I didn’t have any appetite after my flight and I had too much gas.

Oh well, the market was nice…lotz of meat and VERY neat and CLEAN compare to SG’s Chinatown Wet Market or any other wet markets in SG. Well, I got a white scarf for myself and sis got a checkered scarf too. AUS 10 for two which is cheap as each cost AUS 6. After that we went marketing for food and returned to the apartment. URGH…the aardbei prices has gone up! I was actually planning to buy many many many boxes of strawberries! What a disappointment.

Oh well, after we had put the food, I did the shelling of the prawns. I had a slight rash after that but am fine now. About 12 plus (10 plus AM in SG) I started to feel tired…yeah I think I didn’t sleep for 22 hours I think. I napped for roughly two hours as sis vacuumed her room and did her work.

After I woke, we headed for Chinatown in Melbourne…it was OK, nothing that cina. Well, I got mom’s NS-8 moisturising cream and my friend’s 2 bottles of emu oil cream. He owes me AUS 10 now…

Well, after that we head to Safe Way to get cereal, milk, tea (peppermint muahahaha), tomatoes and spaghetti. Hmm…before that we went to The Reject Shop where they had some stuffs…I got two cards from there. Erm…we headed back to the apartment again and place the food.

We headed out again to get to the City Circle Tram which was the only free ride around Melbourne. It was just the small portion round the town and NOT the whole of Melbourne. It didn’t complete its ride though so we had to board off somewhere…facing St. Vincent’s Children Hospital. We walked all the way back to Chinatown and sis was trying to find the Shanghai Dumpling restaurant as she said the noodles and the Wo Tie are good there. Well, the noodles was good BUT the Wo Tie was nothing special or great as I found SG’s Wo Tie better that mom got it from Chinatown. Anyway, I got to say this; it was a cheap meal for the two of us as it only cost us AUS 12.30

By the way, the taxi fare cost from airport to UniLodge (sis' apartment) cost about AUS 40.40 I think…about there. I still have other places where I would like to visit and snap some pics. Hehehehe sadly to say, my face isn’t there but only places. I promise to have my freaking face there. I guess I’ll have to plan for tomorrow. After dinner, we got home…and thatz about it and now I’m doing this.

It sucks when my period arrived a day before my trip flight. Sucks, doesn’t it? Well, I’ve been missing the internet and mess. I wonder howz Tall Guy's Management & Organisation paper? I think he should be able to handle it. No need to worry for Eelco coz I know this guy is smart and is able to handle any paper without a problem. I doubt none of the Dutch guys miss me lol…or am I wrong? By the way, I saw the word ‘Coburg’ somewhere :D which is nice so I had a snapped of the sign. Erm…gosh I’m starting to feel tired. It is only 6:18PM in SG now but now in MEL it is 8:18PM. Well, it got dark really early about 5 plus in Melbourne (3 plus in SG, bright and sunny unless rainy).

Anyway, thatz about it for DAY 1 in Melbourne and now we left 21 more days in Melbourne. We’re planning to watch The Incredibles once I’m done posting the bloggy and emailing to some people.

TAKE CARE!

VEEL PLEZIER!

Christine.

NOTE: All time now is MEL 2 hours ahead of SG time thus 8 hours ahead of NDL.
