Day 7 in MEL: Out Shopping and…
I woke up at 12 and showered and got dressed. We headed for the post office to post Joost’s birthday card (I seriously want to get rid of it, out of my sight because it upsets me to think about him) and the receipt of my glasses to the driver. Totally ONZIN that they go by size of the envelope, It didn’t cost AUS 50 cents to send coz sis used a bigger envelope thus it cost AUS $1. What a cheat!
After that we headed to Myers where sis did her shopping. Nothing really impressed me but nice guys clothes but hey, I have no guy to spoil…even if I want to for Tall Guy. He doesn’t want any more tops and as for Eric, I don’t really know his size because I haven’t seen a proper and full pic of him to be certain. I did see a nice rainbow stripy PJ which was really nice but I’d decided not to get because it was unnecessary. Firstly Singapore is warm and if I put it on it is going to be VERY warm or HOT and secondly I think plain t-shirt with boxers will just do and that saves me the cost too.
What is so great about Myers? Pretty boring though the lingerie department is huge but I did see some nice quilt cover sets AHHH…but mustn’t spend unnecessarily. Stupid cashier forgotten to remove the magnetic tag off sis’ CK boxers that whenever we walked pass the security stand it beeped. We were wondering but we didn’t bother until we got back to the apartment and realized that the tag was there. Well anyway, after Myers, we went to have lunchy at Shanghai Noodles/Dumpling Restaurant. There we had steam dumplings instead of the fried ones and a bowl of Combination Vegetarian Noodles. It was FILLING…
Hmm…lunchy and then we went grocery shopping! Sis went to Big W to get 3 packs of Tim Tams and 3 packs of Mint Slice for her guy and then we head over to Safe Way to get milk and OJ.
Right after grocery shopping, we went to Max Brenner and sis had mocha and I had Suckao where by they have it in a white little potty with a candle in it and on top is a metal cup and milk. Aside was a small silver plate containing dark chocolate chips whereby I could add into the milk and stir them in with this metal spoon-straw. Itz unique I must say and erm…I could get refill for the milk. Sis said we spent an hour there but I didn’t feel like it was an hour.
We decided to head back but sis saw Jean West was having a sale so we crossed the road and checked it out. Sis got a nice top and the two of us got the same type of undies! Hehehe but differ in sizes. Well…then we got back! Now me doing bloggy on Microsoft Words before I could transfer to the actual blog. Hmm…I’ll be adding more coz later…I’LL BE MEETING BILIN! She’s from my Secondary school and we had been classmates since Sec 3, 4 and 5. I’m just waiting for close 7PM when I’ll be meeting her outside an Italian restaurant called, Mercadante on Lygon Street.
I’m feeling a little handicap with no glasses on. Sis said I look grouchy and sleepy; well…I can’t help it. It really feels odd not having any glasses on coz I’d been wearing it since I was 6 years old. Alright, am going to get ready to go now will continue bloggy later…
Right, I’d returned and dinner was SO light, I was eating the air of OZ, really filling…
OK, sis was nice to accompany with me to walk along Lygon Street and we left like 6:50PM to meet Bilin at Mercadante. We were there at 6:59PM but she wasn’t there so we walked up and down Lygon Street and back to Mercadante but she wasn’t there…tried calling her but she was uncontactable/unavailable. Well, sis craved for Gelati so we crossed the road and got a small tub of three flavoured ice cream, Mango, Passion fruit and Strawberry aka Aardbei. It cost us AUS 10.80. Well I asked sis whether she could see any Chinese girl waiting outside the restaurant but she couldn’t see so sis tried calling her number but yet again, she was UNavailable. Alright, we walked back to Mercadante to see but no Chinese girl waiting there. FINE…I got stood up. Sis was right that most likely she would be LATE or either she WON’T COME.
Oh yeah, I didn't have tea today. THANZ Jubi for your concern and Martijn for your email :D Well...am I enjoying my vacation? Not so really fun. It is just OK. Take care and hopefully your Maths is OK...well at least a pass. You know once in lower secondary, we could use calculator but I didn't bring. I passed me math so...no worries ;) See you around Martijn and Robin too.
Take care.
Veel plezier.
Christine.
PS: I wanted to write really emotional stuff but I decided to delete it.
