Mom's Day (Squander's Day)

Woke up at close to 1:30PM then I wandered around at home for a while and looked through the recipe book. Mom was in the bathroom while dad was out. Left home at 2PM and walked to Tanglin Market Place.

These were the things I'd bought.

- Dried Cranberries
- Dried Apricots
- Butter
- Whipped Cream

TOTAL COST: S$13.05

Well...I baked a cake for mom, itz a fruit cake...T_T I didn't follow the recipe exactly. Typical me.

1. I did like what the recipe stated, butter 125g (left some to grease the tin), an egg and 2 tbs honey and stir till creamy. T_T Unfortunately...I think the recipe wasn't that detailed eh...it is just like making Hollandaise sauce if you know what I mean. My butter broke! It didn't matter anyway...

2. Next, I added the dried cranberries, apricots, stir and added the small box of raisins. Stir and then add in the oatmeal. Wasn't that watery soooo I added another egg and stir and added some more oatmeal and then I added another egg.

3. I thought of using some Cabernet Sauvignon and thus added 1 tbs of it. Stir well and then I added some whipped cream (the ones which you use to decorate...)

4. I sprayed the entire can of whipped cream on top of the cake and baked in the oven for 25 minutes at 180 d C. Before you put the cake in, let the oven preheat for roughly 15 minutes.

5. Once cake is done, leave it out to cool and oh yeah, it is up to you if you wanted to add the whip cream on top of the cake BEFORE baking OR you could spray it on top AFTER the cake has cooled. Either way you like :p

Eelco's Geography

Hehehehe I got this right, it is the map of NDL though T_T Eelco admitted that he had forgotten to draw Flevoland in.

Er...yeah, his drawing was kind of big but anyway, when I first saw it; I knew I'd seen this part of the world before :D It is EUROPE! Hehehehe that goes to show that his drawing is good even when using a mouse to draw. He claimed his drawing would be much accurate if he didn't use a mouse to draw :p

Just draw for the fun of it.

An online friend wanted someone who was able to draw a character for him and this was the description he'd given to me.

6' 0"
210 lbs.
Normal sized man (Caucasian)
Short, black hair (cru-cut hair)
No scars/tattoos
Quiet, stoic, very cold.

I just drew it for fun but I know he wouldn't use it :D It kinda suck coz I can NEVER draw people...I can draw objects and such but never people/expressions well.

One Gallon of Milk + In an hour = Puke after.

What did I cook as dad's birthday?

Well...this was a three course meal.

APPETIZER.
- Button mushrooms (added melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley and some lemon juice into the hole of the mushrooms and then baked)
- Streaky Bacon Roll with Raisins (Raisins being rolled up in streaky bacon and pan-fried but I suggest deep frying to get better result, use toothpick to secure but remove it before serving)
- Romano Salad (Balsamic vinaigrette, came with the pack...and I added some honey tomatoes)

MAIN COURSE.
- Boiled Thai asparagus and carrot sticks (no time)
- Mashed sweet potato with corn kernels
- Roasted Lamb (marinated in Oyster Sauce, Cabernet Sauvignon, Olive Oil, Crushed Black Pepper and Sugar - thatz the marinade and I added some garlic and rosemary herbs)
- To be served with Redcurrent Sauce (Redcurrent Jelly (aka Jam) simmer with some Cabernet Sauvignon)

DESSERT.
- Forest Berries Yogurt with Fresh Chopped Raspberries & Blueberries (served in a short glass yogurt mixed with the chopped berries then add the Kellogg's Crispy Rice then add the yogurt mixed with chopped berries. Garnished with raspberries and blueberries. I suggest you do the dessert before serving as the Crispy Rice would become soggy OR you could use chopped up nuts OR marshmallows (that one was just an idea) OR rasins et cetera)
